3Ne Ch22

This chapter is almost word of word from Isaiah 54 and can be studied alongside to help with understanding and connection to what Isaiah prophesied. His words say that Zion shall be established in the last days and Israel shall be gathered in mercy and tenderness to triumph.
If my explanation of this chapter sucks, it is because I barely understand all the metaphors and comparisons that Isaiah is making, for example in v1 he speaks about barren woman's children being more than the married wives children and the footnote led me to believe that is because the children of the desolate was Zion. That being the case, Zion is to enlarge and strengthen itself by inheriting the Gentiles and spreading to desolate cities to stretch across the habitations (v2-3). There will be no need to fear even though there has been reproach in younger years because the Lord of Hosts will have great mercy and remember those he has forsaken for a small moment (v4-7).
The Lord was angry for a little but His everlasting kindness and mercy shows in the end just as in the days of Noah when He flooded the evil out of the land, but now He will not be so wroth again (v8-9). There may be a time when mountains or hills have departed, but God's kindness will remain because of the covenant that has been made (v10). All those who are afflicted will have their foundations and houses reinforced by God's power and have their children taught by the Lord to establish righteousness so that terror shall not come near the blessed people (v11-14). The servants of the Lord will prosper and be blessed with the ability to create defenses in war against all those who gather together to destroy the work of the Lord (v15-17).
