Moroni Ch10

The Holy Ghost is able to give in confirmation of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon when we ask faithfully. Any spiritual gift that is given always accompanies faith, and we can be perfected in Christ who sanctifies our souls.
After 420 years since the time of Christ's coming, Moroni is finishing the records with his last thoughts before sealing then away (v1-2). His advice includes remembering the mercy if The Lord, and pondering on the words of the scripture when we read so that the truth can be manifested to us by the Holy Ghost (v3-5). We will know of a during the power of God if we accept His gift of knowledge, and we accept this knowledge by reading His words from the scriptures and putting out faith in Him (v6-10).
Other gifts he gives to us include healing others, performing miracles, speaking in tongues, interpreting languages, and others all through the power of the Spirit of Christ (v11-17). Every good gift comes from Christ who is unchanging and will save us from despair if we have faith, hope, charity, and belief (v18-22). Because we have a promise from The Lord to have the ability to perform all things if we have faith, we know that our unbelief is the only cause of miracles craving among the children of men (v23-25).
Those who die in their sins cannot be saved, and we know this truth through the words of Moroni, who cries to us from his time to listen to his prophecies that will be fulfilled (v26-29). Moroni wants is to grab hold to the good gifts of God and strengthen ourselves against the adversary (v30-31). We can strengthen ourselves by being perfected in Christ through His grace, and we can deny all ungodliness so that we are sanctified and fulfill our covenant so we may live in the kingdom of heaven (v32-34). Good bye Moroni, see you in the paradise of God.

Moroni Ch9

This second letter that Moroni includes from Mormon is later in the war when the Nephites and Lamanites have become more wicked. Both murder and torture each other with no sign of repenting, and Mormon still prays for his sons welfare even though he gives up on the Nephites.
There has been more battles and Mormon writes to his son to reassure him  that he lives even though many have fallen, and the Lamanites are baring down in them to destroy the Nephites for their wickedness (v1-3). Mormon has tried preaching with sharp words which it angers the people, but with no sharpness, they harden their hearts because they have lost love for one another and only seek revenge (v4-5). This state of the people doesn't mean the righteous can slack off in preaching the words of God (v6).
The Lamanites have taken many prisoners and do disgusting things that are a great abomination including forced cannibalism, rape, murder, and torture (7-10). These people used to be civilized! How can we expect God to stay His hand of judgment upon such wickedness when they used to be delightsome people (v11-15). There are widows and their families left with no food, armies that are weak, and so many other perversions of good things that can't be said during this long awful war (v16-19).
Enough describing awful things, Mormon cannot recommend the people be saved by God because he knows they don't deserve it, but he does recommend his son to God because he is righteous (v20-22). If the Nephites perish, it will be just like the Jaredites who brought it upon themselves, and Mormon hopes not toe be killed during the battle because he still has the sacred records to give to Moroni (v23-24). His parting words include encouragement to let Christ lift his spirits despite the many deaths and hardships because everything is in the hands of God, and he will abide with the righteous (v25-26).

Moroni Ch8

It's very clear in the scriptures that baptizing infants is unacceptable because they are alive in Christ through the atonement. As we grow older we have to practice faith, repentance, meekness, and other qualities that children already have so we can receive the Holy Ghost and be lead to salvation through endurance.
This chapter is actually more words of Mormon that were in a letter to Moroni guiding him when he was called to minister (v1). Mormon starts off with showing how glad he is that is son is following The Lord and that he prays for him constantly out of love (v2-3). Mormon heard about some issues going on in the church because people argue whether they should baptize little children, so he writes this letter to help Moroni clear up misconceptions and resolve the problem ASAP (v4-6). These teachings come straight from The Lord, through the Holy Ghost, after Mormon had prayed and asked for guidance (v7-9):
"I, the Redeemer, have come to call the wicked to repentance, not to call the already righteous like little children who are not capable of committing sin because I have taken the curse of Adam from them automatically."
Teach the principle of repentance and baptism to those who are accountable so they can humble themselves like little children who need no repentance not baptism yet (v10-11). If children were not already alive in Christ, then God is partial and allowed many children to go to an endless hell (v12-13). Anyone who thinks children need baptism needs a little faith, hope, and charity in his life because they are trying to pervert the ways of The Lord  (v14-16).
Mormon has a love for little children because of the charity in his heart, and he knows they need no baptism because God is unchanging and does not deny His pure mercies to them (v17-19). As for his opinion about any who still think children need baptism, it's pretty clear he thinks they will be in hell after the final judgment (v20-21). Another way to think about the mercy and love of God is to remember that everyone will get the chance to choose Christ, so those who never got the chance on earth will not be condemned for not knowing better, just like children (v22-23).
As for those who need help, we have guidance from Mormon on what we can do to achieve the salvation that little children already have. First, we repent and be baptized through faith unto the fulfilling of the commandments which brings a remission of sins (v24-25). Next, we become meek, lowly in heart, and humble enough to receive the Holy Ghost as a constant companion until we have endured to the end and can dwell with God (v26).
The end of the letter gives us a glimpse into the real world because Mormon is off at war, leading the Nephites, and he mentions that they are prideful (v27). Yet he still has hope they will repent because he asks for prayers from Moroni even though he knows they must perish soon because they have lost the Spirit and rejected so great a knowledge of the truth (v28-29). He also doesn't know exactly when he's coming home...so it's just an unknowing farewell (v30).

Moroni Ch7

Moroni quotes his father's words that are mainly about the difference between The Lord and satan, and the way they go about helping (or harming) men. The prophets are Christ's ministers on earth to invite men to hope for eternal life and cleave unto charity.
Moroni remembers words of his father, Mormon, who taught members of the gospel in synagogues about the grace of God the Father, and about the hope they should let enter their hearts to rest with The Lord in heaven (v1-3). It is possible to judge someone by their works, whether they are good or evil, because those who are evil cannot do that which is good for it is not counted unto him for righteousness if not done with real intent (v4-10). This is compared to a bitter fountain that cannot bring forth good water meaning a servant of the devil cannot be a follower of Christ, and all things that are good come from God inviting to do good while all things evil comes from the devil and invites more evil (v11-13).
Be careful when you are deciding what is good or evil for it is given to be able to discern what is of God and what is not (v14-15). Every person has a little of the Spirit of Christ that can help them choose good over evil with a perfect knowledge (v16-17). Judging with the light of Christ will help you be fair and righteous which is how we will be judged if we do so, and our ultimate goal should be to hold onto righteousness through faith (v18-21).
God knows all, so he sent down ministering angels and prophets to manifest of the coming of Christ as well as other ways to tell the children of men so that they know they have to have faith to lay hold of good things (v22-25). Men are saved by faith in His name and believing because miracles have not stopped just because Christ is not on earth for he has truly claimed all who have faith on Him from the ends of the law, basically saving us from eternal misery (v26-29). The job of those who minister is to call people to repent and prepare them to receive by declaring his word and bringing to pass the covenants of the Father (v30-32).
Christ said to have faith in Him to receive His power and do His will by repenting, coming to Him in baptism, and be faithful, ye may be saved, and Mormon gives the seal of approval on those words by testifying them (v33-35). Faith has allowed miracles to continue and they shall never cease as long as we have faith for is we stop then we would be in an awful state with no redemption (v36-38). Be worthy to be numbered as members of His church by being meek and having faith obtained by first hoping for for the resurrection, atonement, and eternal life (v39-41).
If you have faith, then you must have hope with a meek and lowly heart that leads to charity, a charity that makes men better and gives purpose (v42-44). This charity makes men kind, humble, joyful, and helps them endure the hardships of life, without it we are nothing and we will NEVER fail if we have it (v45-46). It is literally the pure love of Christ and endureth forever with us which is why we must pray with full energy of heart that we can be filled with this love, and it will make us such better people and closer to our Savior (v47-48).

Moroni Ch6

Baptism is very important because it is an essential key to gaining salvation. It is a process of repentance to help us gain the Holy Ghost who will guide us.
Those who are worthy being of a broken heart and a contrite spirit will be baptized when they repent of their sins and are willing to take the name of Christ upon themselves (v1-3). The Holy Ghost is a gift given to those who have been baptized to cleanse them of their sins and watch over them as they meet at church, fast, pray, and continue repenting through the sacrament (v4-6).
If someone is found to have committed iniquity and refuses to repent they are blotted out and not numbered with The people of Christ (v7). Fortunately if we keep trying to gain forgiveness as long as we are able and do all that is asked of is, we will be forgiven and have the help of the Holy Ghost at our side (v8-9).

Moroni Ch1-5

I do a chunk of chapters for two reasons, they are small and they pertain to each other. Moroni didn't think he was going to have any more time to write but he ends up giving us great knowledge on how to perform certain ordinances. The conferring the Holy Ghost, ordaining, and administering the sacrament are all included in his instructions.
Ch1
Moroni is hiding so that he does not get caught and killed by the Lamanites who continue to have wars among themselves, and they seek out and kill any Nephite descendants who might have escaped who will not deny Christ (v1-2). Moroni would never do that so he wanders to keep safe and writes a few more things that he hopes will be of worth to those who will read his words (v3-4).
Some of the precious words of The Lord spoken to only His disciples when He first visited the Nephites were instructions how to give the Holy Ghost in His name to those who are worthy (ch2). Another important part of the church is ordaining priests and teachers in the name of Jesus Christ to preach repentance and remission of sins, and the elders of the church are able to do this according to the gifts of God by the power of the Holy Ghost (ch3). Elders and priests are given at boring to administer the sacrament in remembrance of the flesh and blood of Christ, which was shed for all mankind, but it must be done correctly using the prayers that are written here (ch4-5).

Ether Ch15

Ok there is gonna be a huge final battle that include 8 different attacking that dwindles down the number of people left alive. Millions are killed because The Lord ceased to strive with a wicked people, and His words are fulfilled when Coriantumr is the last alive and see what has happened.
After the battle wounds from the previous encounters with Shiz, Coriantumr has a realization that Ether's words were true since 2 million people had been slain, and he has a desire to repent and stop the blood shed so he wrote to Shiz (v1-4). When Shiz read that he could be king over all the people, he wrote back that his only desire was to slay Coriantumr, but the whole of the people were not repenting and were angry with each other so they attacked (v5-6). Coriantumr fled and there was one more battle near a great body of water that happened before they stopped fighting for 4 years to recruiter anyone and everyone left in the land (except Ether) to fight for their cause (v7-14).
Now that every man, woman, and child were ready for war the 8 day final battle begins with the first two days fought with no success but great mourning at night for the lost people (v15-17). Coriantumr writes to Shiz wanting this to stop, but there was no reasoning anymore because no one fighting had the spirit of The Lord with them (v18-19). Now 3 more days of straight fighting continued until Coriantumr had only 52 people left and Shiz had 69 (v20-23).
After the 6th day of none stop fighting, 32 were left with Shiz and Coriantumr had 27, so they prepared for death on the morrow (v24-26). Everyone fainted from loss of blood after 3 hours so when Coriantumr and his men woke they fled but Shiz awoke too and pursued catching them then next day, and after that last fight only Shiz, who faints from blood loss, and Coriantumr were alive (v27-29). Coriantumr smote off Shiz's head then fainted and died, and at that point Ether came out to witness the destruction and finish his record similar to Moroni who was the last left alive of his people (v30-34).
