2Ne Ch29

For anyone who actually reads this who isn't a member of The Chrurch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints please do not be offended or take my words the wrong way. (Or past posts!) This chapter is about the reaction to the Book of Mormon by certain people. The Lord speaks to everyone and judges by the words heard.
When The Lord's marvelous work starts (which it has) to recover His people he will remember His promises (v1-2). The promise is that the words that Nephi writes will be brought the Gentiles but many will say 'we don't need new scripture' (v3). But The Lord will say they are foolish for saying that because of the way they treat the bible and that history because there are more nations than one (v4-7).
Why would someone complain to receive more direction from The Lord? Many words are the same in both records because God is the same yesterday, today, and forever (v8-9). The Lord commands everyone who received words from him to record them because that is the means by which we shall be judged (v10-12). That's why it's also important to read them!
In this day, we all have the words from the Jews and the Nephites from The Lord to read and learn from (v13). There is great knowledge in these words because The Lord warns us, directs us, and shows his love. He has said there is a gathering and those who follow him will be saved. We can read the covenants he hasafe and know for ourselves (v14).
