Isaiah saw the message of doom against the people in Babylon and can be seen as a prophecy for the second coming (v1). Isaiah quotes The Lord as he calls the saints to give the signal on the mountain to tell everyone about this message (v2-3). The Lord is angry with those who don't rejoice in His highness but it is upon the whole land that gathers hosts to battle (v3-5).
Tell them that the day of The Lord is here and there will be destruction and pain for the sinners (v6-10). Those who are wicked will be in darkness and the world will be punished (v11-12). The souls of men will become worth more than fine gold and Earth will be cleansed for them from all the evil (v13-18). The destruction described in v14-18 is very symbolic and references when Giod overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah because of their wickedness (v19). Afterwards it will not be inhabitable because of the destruction that happened (v20-21).
Most importantly the righteous people of Christ will have mercy shown upon them and the wicked shall perish (v22). The Lord watches over His blessed people because of the love he had for us. Don't take advantage of that.
