1Ne Ch10

Nephi has given a short history of their lights from Jerusalem and now is started to accounts his proceedings, reign, and ministry. To do so he still references his father and brother (v1). Nephi writes about how his father (still the prophet), speaks about what is going to happen to Jerusalem now. They will be put into bondage by Babylon but 600 yrs later, a prophet would be raised up (v4). Lehi also spoke about the Messiah and the prophets that testified of him taught that we should rely in our Redeemer (v5-6). In v7, when he mentions, "a prophet who should come before the Messiah, to prepare the way of The Lord," it is referencing John the Baptists. Proof can be found in v8-10 when it describes what this prophet does during his life.
The verses about the gospel and the scattering, then gathering of the Gentiles are in v11-14. We then see that all this was a summary of Lehi's actual teachings which we don't have and Nephi left out a bunch (v15).
Nephi was desirous also to "see, and hear, and know" more about all these things that his father had taught. Nephi then bears an incredible testimony of our unchanging Lord, "He is the same yesterday, to-day, and forever" (v18). We can know the mysteries of God if we but simply ask. The power of the Holy Ghost reveals them to us just like he did in times of old and in times to come (v19). Seeking wickedness, in this day of our probation (our time on Earth), will cause us to be found unclean at our judgement and we will not be able to dwell with God for eternity.
